I am Olivia and I am thrilled to be here sharing something I love so much with other families. I have been a photographer at heart since I was a senior in high school: I came into my own senior session with so many lighting, pose, and setting ideas that the photographer had to schedule a whole additional session for me. Since that time, I have had careers in other fields but always my love of photography has been a treasure that I pursued in my free time, on vacations, and with my own sweet kiddos.

I have found that photographs play an important role in our home and in our psyches. We remember people, places, moments in part through the photographs we see of them. These images impact on how we view ourselves and the people we love. Having beautiful photos to preserve our memories makes life feel more lovely, more meaningful- and when they are photographs of our families, they make us feel more connected. Photos influence how we see ourselves and we become more like the confident, joyful, radiant, portraits we see hanging on our walls.

These days the competition to earn your smile behind my lens is steep. The skills that set me apart all come from my past experiences. In my years as a dancer and choreographer I learned how to stand to project confidence and ease, and I am adept at showing my clients how to pose and move to create the most flattering postures. With over a decade of teaching experience, I am sure I can motivate your kids or your husband to smile for my camera.

Few families can really afford several hundred dollars a few times a year on something that doesn’t clean your house, make dinner, or drive you to work? Right? And who can really risk that much money on a preschooler who may or may not nap before family portraits? And that is why my goal in goal in liv detamore photography is to create beautiful photography at an affordable price.

I am a momma, a teacher, a wife, a dancer, and a lover of all things beautiful and free.  I love what I do every day, and I feel lucky that I get to meet new people and encourage new smiles through this craft.

I hope I get the chance to meet you and presererve some of the beauty that is your life.

Olivia
